Left Outside the Loop
My series and my book still leave a bitter taste.
The industry is converging on the same topic. One conference talk after another shows the same picture, about getting people to work more closely together. Rethinking what we learned from Naur and Beck.
But there is still this little voice in me, questioning whether the book, and the way I wrote it, is the right medium for those ideas.
Using AI helped me formalize and structure them. It let me produce something in a way that would not have been possible for me otherwise. Is that the right approach though, or do I hurt the ideas by leaning on it, and people overlook the basic problem underneath?
My goal was never to establish a new process. I want people, teams, and organizations to refocus on what matters about being a team. Converging and sharing ideas, inspecting approaches, collaboratively as a unit. Moving forward with all the friction that brings along, and because of it, to shine and grow, and more importantly to learn from each other.
This is one of my shorter posts, but it feels like the one I needed the most.
